90%? So then is it 6% yes and 4% maybe? Where you getting 90% from?

OP, unless your car is ridiculously low where they can't even drive it through the parking lot, they aren't going to give 2 ****s about whether it's lowered or not. They're too busy counting how much money they're going to make after screwing you over on your trade in

I work at a dealership and they do not care about aftermarket parts...you would be better off taking it back to stock and selling your parts...especially if its lowered...i've ran into this a few times with my preowned director...if the car is lowered it is in his mind that you have ran the car hard which we all is most likely true...its always better off to take it back to stock in most cases...aftermarket has no value in the black book or at auction...keep that in mind

i pulled 90 out of a hat.....i mean come on there is no where for me to know the exact number.....but more than likely they will not. I use to work at a dealership and it really depended on how well it was done and who the manager was that day. They will never give you enough to make it worth while but 92% (is that better for you chris07gt) of the time they wont give you a dime. Sometimes they may take away from it if it was done bad. cause then they will have to make the car stock to sell it.

Yea, always try to sell your car on your own. It will take longer but you'll get your moneys worth..especially for all the aftermarket stuff you put into it.

But anyway, I've never heard of dealers caring too much about what you do to your car because in most cases it made the car better so it will be easier for them to re-sell.

And if youre on a lease, youre fukked..not that there is anyone who didn't know that

They dont care.
Look at the used stangs and see the mods done to them.
They dont care.
They will be giving you a lower than KBB trade-in allowance
and selling it for a higher than KBB used dealer price. They
make the $$ coming and going so they no care about mods.
If it starts, runs, stops and looks semi decent, they dont care
bout mods. Pop a hood on a used GT and ask about the CAI
and if it has a custom tune or where is the tuner for the CAI
and they look at you like you jusy materialized out of thin air
from MARS. There is the price, you want it or not?

Take a small travel size container of Vaseline with you and
plop it on the desk at dealing time and tell it is for if and when
they attempt to bend you over.......

If I were you I would just sell the whole car yourself if you can wait... you'll actually get a fair price whereas a dealer will give you way less than the car is actually worth. Perhaps if the dealer offers you 13k then you could go and sell it quick for 15k?

They don't care one bit. Remember this fact: Car dealers are not in the business of selling cars. They're in the business of making money. Don't EVER forget that. Dealers will always look to steal your trade. That's why they're able to build all those two story fancy dealerships.
