Default minor things

Now that the Shaker 500 issue seems to be getting resolved, I thought I'd post about some of the little things. Not too technical, but addressed to 2010 Mustangs.

1. Americanmuscle.com has a nice valet Mustang keychain, right now on sale under 10 bucks ($9.99) and free shipping.

2. Ford has a custom fit Mustang trunk mat, with a 1 inch lip to hold spills. It is a little thin, but I think it's worth it. (There may be some modification needed for Shaker 1000 and convertibles that may effect it's ability to hold spills.
Hey! Broken or spilled bottles can be quite a mess! And we don't need the lingering smell! ) About $80

Observations:
3. The sun visors don't extend. Move the visor to the door to block the sun? Not going to cover unless you are short or like to drive with the steering wheel touching your belly. My 5 year old car visors would slide back. It can't be expensive to do.

4. The gas door. I would have liked to have had an interior release latch to get it open.

5. AM radio is a little lax on signal strength vs previous cars. (Same route, same times.) Yes I DO listen to Rush, thank you. Maybe less now with the Shaker 500

6. For us to program an IKT (Key - Integrated Keyhead Transmitter) we are required to have 2 working IKTs. So if you lose or break one of your two originals, the dealer will have to program the replacement. $$$ (It's in the manual.)

Do I care all that much about 3-6? HELL NO! I've been waiting almost 2 years for this car!

So you can program a 3rd IKT yourself if you have 2 working? But if you don't have 2, the dealer has to do it?
Because that is what I was trying to say. (Page 105 of the 2010 manual.)

I wonder whether that is because of the radio or the short antenna located at the rear of the car.

The hood of the car offers alot more metal for AM to bounce off of so location makes a difference. Size also matters! (when doesn't it?)

So the valet catch on the key chain broke - after 1 month.

Not such a good deal.

How do you scratch the paint when you push in on the door to release it? I don't understand the need for a release.
