I noticed mine doing that a little but that was just a day or so after I replaced the battery. I haven't noticed it since, but now my radio is coming on in the AM stations when I turn my car on. That is after I just got done listening to an FM station before turning it off.

When you disconnect the battery, you start losing various memories. If you change the battery quickly, you might just lose a few of the menu memories, including some of the radio parameters. If you leave the battery disconnected longer, then the computer needs to re-learn the idle and fuel trim strategy. Check your Owner's Guide for how to help the computer do this.

In order to retain memories, some people plug a nine volt alkaline battery into a power port while they are changing the car's battery.

Your tune is still there....trust me!....the car needs to relearn give it a bit of time and the idle should smooth itself out.

In your manual check under the battery section where it states "RELEARN IDLE"

1- make sure your car is cold
2-start the car (do not touch anything) leave it sit till at operating temp.
3- after 1 min of the car at running temp turn on your A/C
4- let A/C run for 1 min
5-then drive normal for 10 min at low speeds w/o A/C on

Plus check the TB and clean out good!! it might look fine, but these TB's are VERY touchy as stated in other posts. I had the same issue as you did after my battery was dead about a week... The combination of relearning the idle and cleaning the throttle body your car will be just like new.

Good luck, Hope this can help!

The TB is very touchy. Keep it clean and do a TB reset evrey once in a while.

+1 on the above comments regarding the PCM having to relearn. It may take a few trips if you're not driving much in the way of distance each trip.

Read in the owners manual about battery
replacement and follow the guidelines for doing so....
