crap
It leaked and almost took my positive lead clamp with it from corrosion.
I swapped it with a new Motocraft out of an 09 stang.
p.s. the battery blanket IS there for a REASON.

p.s. I dont have the S***TTER 500

Mine lasted 3 1/2 years, I replaced it with the larger BXT40R Motorcraft battery.

Car is an 06. Battery has been fine so far.

Car failed to start once but it was due to a discharge from the dog**** shaker 500 problem.

My battery (actually, my CAR) is only 2 years old and the OEM MotorCrap battery is still doing well so I voted "None of the above". And I have the Shaker 500. I truly suspect that if we were to get the s/n's of those batteries that failed, we'd find that there's simply a bad lot or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or...

Default Battery

My OE battery went like 3 1/2 years without a problem. Replaced it last fall with a size 40 R
Interstate MegaTron, which is the optional size Hi Cap battery for the GT so it fit like a glove. Very happy so far.

My stangus is going to be 2 in sept.. never had an issue, i do a fair amount of short trips and the car sits for a week here and there. I think its taken the abuse quite well. Its mostly a weekend warrior, i work less then 5 miles from my house.

Noone knows for sure what the problem is. Even Ford. There is a TSB but it only applies to cars that sit for 30 days or more.

People suspect it is the Shaker stereo. Some say to make sure you turn the stereo off before you shut the car down and open your doors.
