Default Front Tire Width

What is the widest rim i can get on the front of my 08 mustang because i am not liking the 20x8.5 and 20x10 look on my mustang. I dont like the way the tire looks too thin on the front, i mean its not a dragster so why try to make it look like one by putting a thinner rim up front. Anyways your help is always appreciated. I guess im not a fan of staggered wheels.

american muscle has fitment guide link on their web site for 2005-09 mustangs. It recommends no larger than 9" up front. They explain it under their wheel section, good read.

I have 275's all the way around but if I had to do it over I'd put nothing wider than 255's up front. My 275's tend to tramline something fierce on any type of rutted roadway.

You can use up to a 9.5" wide rim on the front with no issues. The GT500 has 18x9.5" wheels all around. If you want 20s, Steeda has some nice 20x9.5" wheels that look perfect with 275/35/20 tires.

The grooves in the road pull you in their direction. Makes going straight on these types of roads (IE: under construction, or someone drove on them before the pavement was dry) very difficult.

Without knowing the tire sizes, it hard to recommend ones for the front
that will match or be close to the rear tire width.
You can put as wide of a rim on the front as long as the offset/backspacing is right...
Whats the offset/backspacing of your 20" front rims?

I run 275/35/19's up front, but mine dont pull at all. Nice and smooth.

Pennywise - What rims are you running? What are their widths? What size are you running in the rear?

I've been looking for 19" wheels and haven't found a rim I liked yet and I don't want 20s. I like the way yours look from the angle in your sig.
