removing rear spoiler
anything special to remove the double sided tape? I tried string...wasent happening...dont really want to use a knife...any ideas?

I used fishing line... thin enough to get between the body and the spoiler and strong enough to cut through the double sided tape.

Use 50lb test fishing line. Its strong and will not break as your tring to pull it threw the tape. Once you get the spoiler off it will take a lot of picking with your fingers and rubbing with Goo Gone, or WD-40 or any other glue remove that is "safe" for paint.

Honestley, I always use a heat gun and my thumb to roll it back .. then a good goo remover (paint friendly) to get rid of residue, then a good wash.

just curious here, what you gonna replace it with? you going spoiler delete or replacing it?

u can use acetone, just dont rub hard gently and it won't take the paint off

I used doubled-up dental floss. Takes about a dang roll, but if you don't fish and don't have any line...
Then I had some mineral spirits to remove the residue.
