there's a lotta crap in my garage, and dust is crazy (as in, leave it sit for an hour after wash, it needs to be dusted) plus my parents are kinda careless when it comes to vehicles so prevention of scratches and dings is more on my mind.

so far it's looking like,

Sta-Bil, Oil Change, Full Tank, Battery Tender Plus, Cover, Something underneath,

southernmustangparts, discount code??

Do any of you have your car rustproofed? I live in the midwest and I will be storing it in the winter ?

mine is not rustproofed.... I live in the Midwest and because of the cold and other factors there is less humidity in the winter then in the spring and summer. If the car is stored like above you wont get much rust if at all.

Nuke- I am a dustaphobe!!!! and use a car cover while the car is stored! One less thing to do come spring

Dont just dump StaBil into the tank and depend on it working properly.
You gotta get it mixed in and drawn up thru the entire fuel system
for it to be effective.
Tires store better with reduced pressures and jackstands are not a
bad idea to prevent flatspotting of the KDWs. Disconnect the battery
to eleviate the 1.5Amps of parasitic draw on the battery and a 'tender'
is not needed for a 6 month storage.
A good waxing before cover installation is a good thing...
Cheap $29 covers are available at wals marts for dustproof
indoor storage.
Change the oil to get the contaminated oil out of there as old oil
an be quite acidic and etch your bearing surfaces over time...

We just received a big shipment of CTEK Battery Chargers for winter.

If you are looking for a great charger for your Mustang this winter take a look at these.

$65.00 w/ Free shipping in the continental US.

Take a look

Thanks!

The parasitic draw should not exceed 50 milliamperes. You still need to disconnect the battery or put it on a tender. I prefer the latter.

One of the things I was told to do, is if you have a Mouse problem in your garage, is to put some Dryer sheets in the car and in the tail pipes. I was told this would keep the mice away from the car, as they do not like the smell. Not sure if it's true, but I did it last winter as where I stor my car, there is a good chance of the vermen getting into the garage during the winter here.
