Default faster than a gt500 ?

i was just reading some 1/4 times for the gt500 and saw " According to a road test in the July 2006 issue of Car and Driver magazine, the boys from Ann Arbor clocked their Shelby GT500 at 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds with the quarter-mile at 12.9 seconds. " What kind of mods would we need to make our GTs run better than that?

Pretty much any supercharger or turbo along with some UCAs and LCAs... they will get you into the low 12s or high 11s on DRs.

But that time your quoted seems pretty slow for a GT500...

i kno i thought i saw v6 in this thread with a turbo or something say they ran a 12.9 so i was pretty sure our GT's could do that with mods besides a supercharger like... 4:10's good tires cai+tune headers and stuff.

there are quite a few 6ers in the 13's. That does seem pretty slow for a gt500. You sure thats a correct time?

GTs can get into mid 12s with boltons. That's a terrible time for the shelby.

The Shelby comes with a very conservative will from the factory...
Its heavier weight doesn't help either.

Put about a Grand of bolt ons in that Shelby though, and it's all over for even a boosted GT.
