Default check fuel cap?please help!

Hi,

RAlph from The Netherlands here.......still very busy with my stang 2005 gt..but today i get the message "CHECK FUEL CAP" try to reset on the dashboard but didn't work ...what must i do ??????

Please help me..

Disconnect the battery for a few seconds, then reconnect.
Done.

Probably replace the cap. They're not expensive.

oke thanks guts you mean the battery in front of the car?? it is not bad ?

Yes, I don't know of any other battery on these cars.
Anyway, it won't hurt anything.

If the battery trick doesn't clear, give it some time. The pcm does a periodic vacuum test on the evap system .It may take a drive cycle or two to clear.
