Thats just great advice...
Insurance companies dont cover vehicle theft if the
keys were in it at the time of the theft....
If he followed your advise, he would be out a
whole lot of $$....

Good luck selling the Vette, it's a beautiful car. Maybe by sometime early next year if the economy picks back up you'll have a lot easier time selling it...a lot of people aren't willing to make that kind of investment on a car right now.

I considered selling my car after I had to get the transmission rebuilt, I was just really frustrated with it. However, I was even more frustrated with all the low ballers and others who flat out wasted my time; running me through all sorts of hoops only to disappear when it came time to actually buy the damn thing. I became so disgusted with it all I ended up pulling my ads and have no plans to sell the car in the future. Even if your car is priced fairly, people think they are entitled to rape you on the sale. Good luck, hopefully you're dealing with a better class of people. If you can't sell it now, I'd enjoy the car for a little longer and try again towards the end of the year.

Drop the keys kinda close to it on your way into the mall?

Sleep Deprived, Your right about the tire kickers and low ballers. I've even had guys call me from out of state to ask about the car. After I answer all of their questions (like 20 minutes worth) they tell me they don't have the money to buy it. One thing's for sure, someone will be getting a great deal. This car stickered at 80k.

beautiful Z06!

as I just learned from selling my 05 GT, even if the price is fair you're going get all kinds of people calling and emailing. unfortunately, you have to learn to be patient until the right person comes along.

if you aren't hurting to sell it, just be patient...if you are, maybe as some of the others suggested, cut your losses with today's economy and trade both the Z06 & Mustang in on a KR or Super Snake.

either way, good luck

I've given lots of thought going the used Ferrari route but there's a big drawback to them. They are very mileage sensitive. The more you drive it, the less they're worth. I know every car is that way but losing 3 grand due to excess mileage on a mustang is one thing. Losing 30 grand on a high mileage Ferrari is another.
