when we go to El Mirage (dry lake bed) our cars get COVERED in dust, the pantyhose help keep my filter clean
i too use a non oiled filter, not a fan of the oiled ones.

That's why I won't get one of those re-usable/re-oil filters...if you over oil you can cause MAF problems and if you under-oil you may allow crap to enter your engine.
Amen have cleaned many MAF's in my time.
