below the intake there are 8 ports, 1 going into each cylinder. each port has a small butterfly valve in it, why i don't know. i am assuming emissions. the CMDP are 2 plates, 1 for each side. they have no valves in them, just wide open. the butterfly valves restrict a bit of flow. i believe the plates are good for about 5hp to the ground. and they require a tune.

How hard are these to install? like basic tools and normal knowledge?

there is a tacobill writeup on how to install them, fairly simple need a couple tools.. one to disconnect the fuel lines and a torque wrench so you get your manifold back on properly.. i didn't notice a difference in power with mine. but most people can't feel a 5rwhp peak increase.

They were designed to improve low end torque i believe? or was it Horsepower? either way you lose a little power on the little end and gain a little on the top..

I did not use any of these tools when I installed mine.

I simply laid the fuel injectors on a towel on one side while they were still connected to each other.

When putting the manifold back on, I simply torqued the bolts to the point where I felt comfortable, since I did not have a torque wrench.
I did follow the order Tacobill provided, though.
