I'm interested in buy an SCT tuner but I don't want to do an intake with it. What gains, if any, can I expect from a stock GT with a 93 octane tune from brenspeed?

You're probably looking at roughly 20 RWHP. The CAI & tune combo is capable of providing about 25 RWHP or more depending on a few factors but with a 93 tune you'll definitely feel the difference. Why not find a used CAI (preferrably one that requires a tune) and do the combo? They're made for one another.

Most CAI's look junky to me. The only one I'd consider is the FRPP (Bullit) one.
any CAI is better looking and performs better than the stock box.
i would do CAI/ tune and some exhaust work at the same time. why do a little at a time when you can do more at the same time.

you could get just some axle backs for around $300. thats pretty cheap.
ROTFLMAO!!! What are you talking about? The OP is trying to gain performance. Axle backs are an aesthetic mod, they provide no performance increases (please don't reply talking about the possibility of a 1-2hp increase at high rpms levels).
OP, are you auto or manual? If auto, the tune will do even more for you. Even if it made no more power, it would still be a great improvement with how it makes the trans shift.

Manual. I'm trying to get the most performance without going aftermarket or the compromises of aftermarket parts as they're usually inferior in build/fit to stock (or at least, with the Hondas I'm used to.)
Wish I could find the stock Shelby mufflers. Those are neat.
