At last count, about 30% of the GTs and 70% of the V6s are autos. I think I smell a catfight coming...

How much difference torque wise do you have between the std. and auto? How would an auto. affect the resale value?

Thanks

With a sports car like this, that probably would depend on the buyer. Granted the auto did start off more expensive, and will probably remain just slightly so, but the "muscle car mentality" that will buy used Mustangs a few years down the road may be looking more often for manual trans. So the official answer is, "who knows"... Auto will probably net ya a couple extra bucks blue book, but what will the demand be might be the more prudent question.

I had to have a manual transmission. My last semi-race car was a 1987 Fiero GT with a five speed. That car was a lot of fun.

Only little girls drive auto sports cars....

<diving for cover>

Personally (and that's key) I'm old school and just can't see driving an auto sports car - especially of the Muscle
variety. I love shifting and don't mind traffic - so I wouldn't have it any other way. Others feel the auto
is just more convenient and just as fun. That's cool. I'll (eventually) have my manual and they have their
autos and we'll all be "happy as bugs in a rug". [&:]
