Question 2010 comparison's?

I was curious.....

I would like to learn more about the 2010's and how they compare to the 2005 - 2009 models. Please list the pro's and cons of your 2010. (performance, technical, exterior, interior, etc.)

Thanks!

Go test drive a 2010 and make your own comparisons. Everyone else will just give you their opinion. And you know what they say about opinions!

V6 performance is the same. Gt picks up 15 horsepower by using the same upgrades as the 08-09 bullitts. Same chassis, trans, roofline. The main difference is the front and rear clips and the door skins. mechanically they are identical to the 05-09 unless you get a GT with a track pack suspension/rear gear upgrade. Interior is different since the center stack has been reconfigured. The real change is rumored for the 2011 MY. New 3.7l V6 with upwards of 280HP and a new 5.0L 4V DOHC motor. Possibly 400HP/400Trq. Should make our cars as fast if not faster than the camaros.

No opinions, just facts.

Build quality is better on the 2010. The interior plastic textures are much nicer and softer to the touch. It actually feels like a $30,000 car inside unlike the 05-09's. The body panels seem to be tighter as well. It just seems like they spent a little more time putting the 2010's together. It's about on par with a Mazda3 or a Civic now, which is a good thing.

The new 2010 GT driveline is the same as the '09 Bullitt....and then tweaked. the suspension is the Bullitt suspension only they changed the dampening rate and a few other things and it rides and handles great.

Since it has the Bullitt fuel management system it also detects octane and adjust the timing accordingly.

The V6 motor is identical to the '09 V6. however, the suspension is the '09 GT suspension and the car handles much better.

mustang anything on par with a civic? ok buddy, nice opinion.

i will eventually get a new 2011+, but the rear badge and tail lights need to be taken care of. and i actually prefer the round air vents over the rectangles. theres still plastic everywhere in the 2010+ interiors.

I don't know of a car being built today that doesn't have a crapy plastic interior. +1 on the round vents.

I feel the exact same way. I don't like the tail lights on the 2010 or the rectangle air vents. I think the round ones on the 2005-2009 look more classic to me.

Give the aftermarket companies some time, they will figure a way to make the tail lights better.

Thanks for pinging in guys!
I really like the front end on the 2010's and the grabber blue is a really nice color!
It sounds like they did some great modifications with the suspension system. =-)
Does the 2010 weigh as much or more than the 05-09 models?

Honda build quality is still MUCH better than the 05-09 Mustangs. Going from an 07 Civic Si to a Mustang, hell, even coming from my 03 Miata, it's a slight step down in interior quality. I'm not saying the interior on the S197 sucks, but it is a bit lacking for its price. Even my 18 year old CRX had less rattles than my 08 GT.
