Hey - new to the forum. Would like up to date info on how long it takes to get a new GT500. I did search the threads but the info I found was somewhat outdated. I ordered mine on 8/4 and the dealer is saying 4 - 6 weeks for delivery. From what I've seen online this seems unlikely. Anyone have any recent info or experience they can share? Thanks a lot!

 

mY 2008 gt500 was about 7-8 weeks from order to delivery... I ordered march 26 (give or take a day or two) build date was end of April and picked up four days after it came in the end of may... Good luck.... Congrats and welcome to the forum

 

Thanks for the info cheftjpeck. I'm hoping to have the car in September. I can't handle waiting. BTW - Not only am I new to the forum I'm new to Mustang. I've owned a ton of cars and trucks over the years but never a Mustang. In fact the only Ford I've ever owned was a 2001 F150 Lightning. I loved it. Have also owned six different Corvettes but thought it was time for something different. Drove the new GT500 and it was FUN!

Anyone out there who's ordered a 2010 GT500 in June or July? Thanks again.

have they assigned you a vin# yet? if they did then it could be as little as 4-6 weeks.

 

No VIN# that I'm aware of. Order was placed 9 days ago. How long does it typically take to get a VIN? Is there any way to get information related to my order other than through my dealer? Dealer says they don't know anything yet, other than the order was placed on 8/5. I would think they would be able to see some sort of order status or something.

If I can't get the car by beginning of Oct I may cancel and wiat for the 2011. It would just be sitting in storage November - May anyway.

The dealer called today and gave me my VIN #. He said the "order was sent to the plant". Couldn't tell me anything more than that. At least it's more than I knew before. Anyone know how long once a VIN is assigned?

 

What color did you get ?
