Would anyone like to plan another cruise and meet. Surfn and I were talking and we were trying to decide between either doing a cruise from down here in SD to Venice Beach on a Sunday and hang for the day, maybe do lunch or trying to make it to crystal cove one saturday morning and checking out the cars there and then doing brunch afterward, this would be early morning (I believe the show goes from 6am-10am) and for those interested coming from SD we can cruise up and meet the people coming from the OC and LA, maybe they can cruise together too if they would like.

So here are the possible dates being that there is something going on every other Saturday and Sunday (car show related):

Saturday July 16: Early morning cruise to Crystal Cove Show and brunch (I will find out what time the show runs)

or

Sunday July 31: Cruise from SD to Venice, hang and do lunch

or if you guys want since they are spaced out we could do both.

Let me know your oppinions ASAP so we can get as many people together as possible.

I'm a tentative "maybe" for one or the other. Barona Dragway has a test-and-tune running on 7/16 and 7/17, so we may go to the track. 7/31 looks open right now...

by the way this is opened to all stangs not just 05s, we do not discriminate and would like to see as many people out there as possible.

well thats not a very friendly car enthusiast mentallity.....while majority of the cars will most likely be 05s we are not going to limit it to just 05s....all mustangs are welcome as we are all fans of the mustang and not just the 05....I have an 05 and a 98 and I am in the search for a good 67 fastback to restore....the cruise to crystal cove will involve all types of cars once we get there, as the show is open to all cars and is made up of some of the coolest exotics, hot rods, muscle cars, sports cars, woddies and many more.....but no one is forcing anyone to come along, just play nice if you do, this is suppose to be fun.

 

your right its nto too friendly.. but if you hit the other forums from the "older" group.. they dont think to highly of us. Theres nothing wrong with haing an all mustange show.. but there should be for for only 05s also

 

You are right about what they are saying about the 05 owners. I do not understand it they say we buy the car because of the hype I almost bought a earlier model Stang but decided on the 05 because I fell in love with the retro look. I dont know what forums youve been looking on I am on Stangnet, themustangsource, socalstangs, and wickedstangs and not one of those have I ever seen such talk, and I hang with a lot of these guys with the older stangs fox bodies, sn95s, and early models and every one likes the car, maybe they are responding to your attitude. I dont know about you but I love stangs and show it, I have been waiting for this one for a very long time and I let everyone know it. I ordered in early August and have been gathering info since day one and have been active, I am also modding as fast as I can and getting into mags, so maybe (and I dont know if this applies to you) if you are taking the "I just like the car" and are not going to even personalize it in anyway approach, then perhaps that might be what they are reacting to, it seems like a lot of people driving the new 05 (and most cars) just come off as not being car enthusiasts. Just an idea as to what is going on, I do not mean to insult anyone here, I can care less why you like the car or if you are a car person or not, I think everyone should still be welcome to join in on all events because this is a passion we all share for one reason or another and until you do something that makes you not welcome I feel that everyone should be. But if you would like to do just an 05 thing go ahead and put one together, I'll join in if I am invited, but it is hard to get a huge turnout of just 05s right now.

 

sorry I just realized who I was responded to, you have it SCd already, nice you are modding, but I was making a generalization as to why this type of treatment is going on. I dont know why it is that you got this treatment.
