Default How's Steeda?

Ever since I got my Mustang and feeling out the aftermarket, I've become interested in Steeda. I really like their products at a glance, and their prices are pretty reasonable compared to Roush, FRPP etc. How's Steeda quality? I'm interested in most of their suspension parts as well as their intake.

My Steeda CAI is just fine. I can't speak about any of their other products but I've heard it depends on what you buy. No worse than others, I suppose...

Do they actually make their own parts or do they contract out for some of it?

Some of their design choices kind of bother me. Their panhard bar requires you to take it off, then make adjustments, then rinse and repeat rather than say BMR whose panhard can be adjusted when mounted in place. Their shifter is kinda notchy with no all too short of a throw. I have heard of their CAI slipping off the throttle body which doesn't seem to happen to the other CAIs. They are good parts from what I have seen, but they don't seem to be the best parts IMO.

We design all our parts in house, and manufacture about 95% of our parts in house as well. Only things we subcontract out are things that require specialized manufacturing facilities such as spring winding and the bonding process for our harmonic balancer. The parts we subcontract out though are manufactured to our own specifications.

Any cold air that attaches with a clamped coupling to the throttle body (as they pretty much all do) has the chance of this happening. This not unique to a Steeda product.

I understand that. I am just stating what I have seen on the forums.

For the record, I am happy with my Tri-Ax. I never miss third gear!

I have a number of steeda items (driveshaft, UDP's, CMDP's) and haven't had any problems at all
