Default Dumb question regarding fuse box...

How the heck do you get access to the fuses in the passenger footwell area? I popped off the outer cover, and there's a big connector in there that I removed, but that wasn't it. There's a plastic box below that which I assume holds the fuses, but I can't see how it opens since I have to practically stand on my head to see down there.

Help!?

I'm pretty sure that the connector is the connector for the SJB. I think the fuse box is below that, and it's easier to access if you remove the whole trim piece by pulling up on the door sill, and pulling out on the trim piece. Everything snaps out.

I didn't realize the whole trim panel comes out - that should help - thanks!

Where's the dumb question? I couldn't figure out how to get at the fuses, and neither could the Ford service advisor. He had to find out from one of the techs.

I guess you have figured out how to remove the panel cover. BTW, when you replace the cover, make sure you hear two clicks when you replace it. Otherwise you may think you replaced it securely, but you may not have. Once I have put the two top tabs in place and the cover is hanging straight down, I push in on the cover in its bottom area. If you push in on the cover about an inch or so on either side of the bottom center, you should hear the clicks.

Now for the inner fuse box cover. This is the way the service advisor showed to me. Not saying this is the best way, but it can work. Just pull out. There are tangs on the left and right sides. You probably can't get at the tang on the right side, so pull up on the left side tang and hope you don't break it.

What a design!

The question now is what systems lost voltage when you disconnected C2280B?
