Default 2011 EcoBoost Confirmed

I just got off the phone with my local Ford Dealer and he stated that he has received confirmation that the 2011's GT Mustangs WILL be using the EcoBoost and WILL have 100HP MORE than the 2010 Mustang GT. So that's at least 400HP...more likely 415HP in the 2011 Mustang GT He also said that the 2011 will feature the same body style as the 2010. So much for getting rid of that back bumper. But for 400+ HP, I'll take it!!

If this is old news, my apologies. I'm just so stoked to hear this right now!!!

I'm curious if the 5.0 Coyote is going to be an option or not, but I'm definitely saving for the 2011 GT.

Unless that dealer has an order form for the 2011's in hand saying the GT will be a 400+hp ecoboost Mustang........I'm gonna reserve plenty of skepticism. I can't see Ford removing the V8 staple from the GT. Don't get me wrong, I want to see them bring us an ecoboost powered model.......but I wholeheartedly believe the GT should remain V8 powered.

I would miss that V8 rumble, but having owned a 87 Buick GN that ran 12.80's for a few years changed my mind about those boosted little 6cyl's. I'm sure you all would feel the same way.

How about the Bobcat? It's a V8.

^^ That looks interesting, and looks like it would really help Ford out if it works.
