I saw this article before I got my headers. Everything I've read says that ARH and Kooks are the best. You get what you pay for. I'm supper pleased with mine. =D

Justin at VMP Tuning was able to give me a tune that correctly tuned the O2s. No idea what he did. I'm hoping he tuned them instead of just turning the CEL off permanently LOL

First tune from him made the CEL worse. In other words, after clearing the CEL it came right back almost immediately instead of waiting about a day. He gave me a 2nd tune and a couple months later, still no CEL.

the CEL from LTs is about the transport delay and such. some tuners have the O2s always on so to help with the CELs popping up. Its hit and miss really.

I have ARH LTs and they are great. They are a bit pricey, but I got a steal on mine.

Pypes LT haven't been out for a long time, but when people tried them they had a lot of problems with them, fitment wise mainly with the steering shaft. Recently I contacted Brenspeed and asked them about that, and they said they did nothing to the headers (bending them) to make them fit.

So whether pypes did fix the design of their headers or not I'm not 100% sure because I haven't seen them myself.

Another thing that's keeping me away from pypes is if I'm not mistaken they're SS with no extra coating, which will discolor quickly and won't stop heat from under the hood.

Kooks on the other hand are SS and ceramic coating, will last a long time and keep temp down.

Had Kooks LT's with O/R X-pipe. Loved them. Heard only good things regarding the AR headers.

i agree. the only reason i went with JBA was because that was the only thing out when i got mine. If i could do it all over again, i'd go with kooks or ARH. it also took a long time for me to get a tune that wouldnt throw codes for the O2 sensors, and even now, i sometimes get them. JBA put the O2 sensor plugs too far away from the engine.

I agree. If they were gonna go through all of the trouble to try them all they should have tried the on a stock, or at least a closer to stock GT.
