Default Pics needed: Rear window louvers

I ve thought of my next mod: rear window louvers. I think they'd look good on my car:

now i just need to see whats out there. so post up some pics of your louvers.

Which are better ABS plastic or aluminum? and how are you supposed to clean under them?

thanks

I don't own a set (yet) but I know alluminum is better for the sake of durability and preserving shape. As far as cleaning is concerned, the MRT louvers have hinges that allow you to lift and prop up the louvers for cleaning. I don't know of other brands that have the feature, but I hear that dirt is harder to notice on louvered windows so unscrewing them every so often is worth it if you prefer their look over MRT's

personally, I like the ABS plastic better... I have the astra hammond texturized rear window louvers. They look more 80s retro then the other ones imo..

Well I had a 1982 GT with Louvers and they were aluminum and they hinged. Don't get the plastic ones. IMO plastic will warp in intense sun over time as well as loose it's color. Even if you put stuff on the plastic to make it nice, that stuff is going to run down on your car. So the alumninum louver is the best choice. It is more expensive, but will last and hold up the longest!
Hinged Aluminum Louvers is on my mod list as well.

See I disagree. I think it is more important to save the interior first than to lower the car for looks and for a worse ride.

Not trying to start an argument here, but I don't understand how you can say it's a worse ride?
