Alarm question... Help appreciated...
06 GT Vert.
So, my car is parked in the driveway today, and my father goes out to get in his truck, which is parked right next to my stang. Opens the door, and the alarm on my stang goes off. Okay, sh*t happens, I turn it off. 20 minutes later, father comes home, pulls into the driveway next to my stang, alarm goes off again. WTF!? I go out, pull on the door handles, touch body panels, can't set it off.
So I take my father's truck out, come back, park next to the stang. As soon as I open the door, alarm goes off again.
I've had the car for around a month now, and this is the first time I've ever had this occur.
Does anyone have any insight on why this is suddenly starting to happen?

Im not sure if you can alter the sensitivity on a factory alarm, but if you can you should have ford, or a professional shop do it. About a month ago I was just picking up my car with my new stereo and a kid was parked a few spots away picking up his car with new alarm system, the shop set the sensitivity too high and when he set it off testing it it cracked the windshield. So be careful when adjusting the sensitivity. (at least if a shop breaks it they will be liable to pay for it.)

the factory alarm has a proximity sensor to detect motion, are you tripping it? look in your manual on the features but it probably also has a nuisance feature,so when you are testing it ,it may not go off again right away. id look in your manual and readup on the alarm.

It's just weird that the car has been parked in the same way for a full month and have never had it happen.
I'll see what it does today and give you an update...

There is a motion sensor in the passenger compartment that is also affected by sound pressure. It must be very sensitive at whatever the frequency it's sensing from the truck and I don't believe it's user-adjustable.

Its the ultrasonic motion sensors in your overhead console.
Put some duct tape over the holes temp and see if it
does not go off with the opening of truck doors.
Windows up or down on this stang that trips with
truck doors opening nearby??
Windows up and the sound cant get out or bounce back
to the ultrasonic xmitter/receivers in the oberhead console.
