HID Lights - Which One? (Help)
I bought two HID kits (one headlight, one foglight) over the summer and worked on them today. It was unfortunate because it didn't work properly. I was told it was my car's computer and the way it controlled these lights. Apparently I am not satisfied with these kits. Is there any HID Kit that ACTUALLY WORKS great with my car's computer instead of me buying a ridiculous priced ford factory hid kit for my car???
Let me know please - I really want to upgrade my lights instead of the boring stock ones.
Thanks.
Ps. It's a 2007 White Mustang GT Premium...

Um, wire them properly and they work properly?
The computer as you call it is a SmartJunctionBox
and it can be fooled into proper operation with
aftermarket HIDs...
U usin a relays for them there HIDs or just plug
n play en em into the OEM headlight bulb connectors?
HIDs in OEM housings is not the way to go.
You gotta pay to play.
And you get what you pay for with HIDs....

which kit did you buy? and from who?
Retrosolutions
and Stang mods are great suppliers of HID retrofits and both are plug and play....
I got mine from retro and no issues and i saved about 600 bucks instead of buying the Saleen HID's with housing etc.....

I second the motion concerning RetroSolutions. As far as I'm concerned, they are the ONLY way to go. Pure plug & play.
If your '07 doesn't have the little black cap over the end on the headlight bulb, you should order the optional coating on the end of the arc tube. Keeps your HIDs from blinding oncoming drivers.
There's NOTHING wrong with a good HID kit. I've read some people like them better than OE HIDs. The shield I mentioned is important.
The RetroSolutions kit is the best - period.

Yea retro-solutions FTW i bought some crappy ones when i 1st got the car and whenever it was cold out my right headlight would never turn on till the engine warmed up got tired of it and ordered retro's 55w kit and had them for about 4 months now and not one problem at all.
