Default Tune Question

I had a 91 Race tune from Bamaships on my 05 V6 without a cai and the throtte response was amazing. However, i went out and got a JLT cai and when i got the new tune, the throttle response was worse than before. Since then, i have had Doug rewrite the tune, but it still doesn't compare to the tune without the CAI. Could it just be the tune or is there something else that could cause that? Or could Dug have given me a different tune other than the Race? (performance or torque)

Can anyone who has used all three tunes (race, torque and performance) let me know what was the difference you noticed between them? Thx

I'd try recalibrating the throttle. There's an easy step-by-step but I can't recall it. I'm sure someone can post that. I'd try that after disconnecting the battery and resetting the adaptive learning. If it's still a problem, THEN I'd pursue if it's the tune.

thx. i actually disconnected the battery the other day, but there wasn't much of a difference. I went back to the other tune (with the stock intake and changed back to stock intake) and I could immediately noticed a difference. I think it may be the tune, but i'm wondering if i got the wrong tune from doug. So if anyone has tried all three tunes, can you let me know what the difference was.

Thx

Recalibrating the throttle involves turning the key to on, waiting for the dash lights to turn off, pressing the peddle to the floor in one motion (taking three seconds to do so), then bringing the peddle back in the same fashion. Wait a few moments before turning the car off. Hope it helps, I'm honestly not sure
