If you have aftermarket stereo equipment I've heard the electrical system can't always handle the extra power needed to run it all. And an FYI, just because the car continued to run means nothing in terms of whether it was the alternator or battery. When the alternator goes bad the car will still run off the juice left in the battery..... until it is dead because the battery is no longer being recharged. If the battery is bad teh car will take a bump but even after running for significant amount of time, the battery will obviously still not have enoughjuice to turn the car over.

Default Another Update

Installed new alternator and it's working fine. Getting 14.3v at idle testing on the battery so I'm charging. The problem is that I'm still getting "check charging system" warning and reading the battery voltage from the computer scan it says I'm at 10v. Could a bad alternator have fried the PCM???
