this is a touchy situation because of the design of the plugs and because of so many people having problems trying to pull them out. if you decide to go this route, I would strongly recommend either letting Ford do this or finding a performance shop in the area that knows what their doing...

Why do you have a header bolt missing? Is the exhaust leaking by the missing bolt? This could cause your problem right there. Under heavy load that engine will move thus moving the header away from the engine.. This would cause leaking and unequal pressure along the exhaust. When those headers heat up they will move more as well. This could affect the 02 sensors. There is never a good reason to have a missing bolt thus I'm inclined to say a few things on your car were install improperly.. Who installed the headers and exhaust?

You are wasting your time with trying to fix it until you fix that missing bolt... It's not the fuel, the filter, plugs etc...

Do you currently have any CODES in the vehicle? Run a scan chk and see if anything comes up.. sounds like a clogged injector or bad plug, possibly a bad coil..

You have a SCT tuner if your tune is Brenspeed...there is a data logging feature...just plug it in and follow the menu...will show injector pressure and spark. +1 on fixing the headers

could it also be caused by a faulty coil-on-plug?
