Exclamation Engine Sputtering

My engine at high speeds around 75-80 has been sputtering out really bad and wont stop as i keep accelerating from there at WOT. i feel a loss of power and everything. its not missing its just sputtering like its not getting enough gas. I put injector cleaner in her n changed the fuel filter. Any other ideas? i also have a header bolt missing could this be the culprit?

My friends F150 does this too.....I don't know the cause but would be interested in finding out. His dealer hasn't been able to diagnose the problem hopefully you find one. I'll post information if my friend finds anything more out about his problem

Could be any number of things. A data log sent to a tuner would solve the issue.

I have had this happen from a bad plug, tuning, leak in intake tubing and bad gas.

Bad gas seemed to be the biggest culprit. Run your tank almost dry and then fill it back up. It took me three tanks to get rid of one tank of bad gas.

"Bad gas" often means that there is water in the fuel. You could try some Iso-Heet to absorb any water. The engine will probably continue to sputter for a while as the absorbed water works its way through the fuel system.

I would vote for fuel filter or a bad injector...I bet on a tuner...you will see pressure inconsistant on the injectors as the fuel need is greater...as far as pulling the plugs...being an 05 with 64000 miles I bet those plugs are carboned in really bad...I would have the dealer pull them.
