How much should I pay to get 3.73's? Right now Ford is quoting me $800.00 installed.

 

That seems a little more on the high side just for the gears and installation. How much is the gears by themselves?

I would say $300-$400 is reasonable

 

I was quoted $650 including gears and lube from a local shop. The dealer is always going to be higher

 

got mine done for 550 parts and labor. main thing is you get them done from a reputable shop that does a lot of gear installs. the last thing you want is a shoddy gear install. i wouldnt mind paying a little extra if i know it will be done correctly. 800 is a little high tho.

 

I have a 2010 and I know that I have a pic of a 2006 that was my old car. I was just wondering, because I thought it was a little high.
