119 Each fit stock 18 rims and work great!

Oh and typically you are supposed to switch at or around 40 degrees at least that is what is recommended. Since my summer tires are technically high performance all season I just wait till the first hit of snow.

Drove 20 miles each way to work all winter last year w/ the stock parellis. All it takes is a little common sense and a bit of weight in the trunk.

I have Dunlop winter tires on a spare set of 18" Fanblade rims. Very happy with them all around. Dry, wet, snow & ice. First winter tire I ever drove on that didn't feel like a winter tire. Tire Rack.

spent last year on the stock tires, and had no problems, i also had ~100lb of sand in the trunk, and 2 boxes (~40lbs) of cat litter i found that clumping cat litter works better for traction then sand.

I am thinking about getting real snow tires for my car since in the summer i run different rims, and am torn between the Bridgestone Blizzaks and the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 any opinions on them would be appreciated.

thanks.

satur9poet,
What size wheels do you have? 17" or 18"?
I have 4 235/50/18" Hankook Icebear tires I'm looking to sell. I drove my 06 for 2 winters, but now have a winter beater. The tires are in excellent shape & have 8500m on them.

And here in OH , I had the winter tires on all 4 corners & added 180lbs of tube sand in the trunk. Had no problems, just had to be easy on the gas when pulling out.

I drive my car everywhere in the winter,(Chicago)
zero weight in the trunk, with the snow tires it drives almost "normal"
I mount my snow tires on my stock wheels .

Default Update

After some comparison shopping, I got a full set of Blizzaks put on my stock wheels today! One phone call saved me almost $200. Already I like them...smow tires are supposed to be noisy but these are actually quieter and absorb impact better than my old BF Goodrich Traction T/A's.

Am now in the process of waxing the car by hand since I have a long weekend...using Turtle Wax Hard Shell. The half of the car that's finished is so shiny it's hard to look at! Next week I'll be getting a good undercoating and we'll be set for winter!
