I have a SC and I'm happy with the 3.55's. 1st gear is short enough IMHO without going with 4.10's. 3.73's might be fun but I have a hard enough time getting traction off the line with the SC and 3.55's in my 5 speed. Of course I'm bone stock with the exception of the SC and the sound system. I'm sure an upgraded suspension would help but if I really want to go corner carving I just switch cars.

I do think the thread topic is a bit misleading. Factory freak typically means bone stock with more HP than the rest of the factory cars. He may have a very fast car but it's certainly not a factory freak. It is a customized freak maybe.

 

I think what she was trying to get across is that my car has always seemed very fast to her, even when we were stock for stock and as I have upgraded along the way, we have both been very impressed with its response to mods and we think I may have just lucked out and the techs were having a good day when they put my motor together. Shes new to the internet (well computers in general) and talking to people on forums. Her statement was not all that miss leading, but she didn't relay what she wanted to say well. Shesh guys, give my mom a break! lol Shes just excited and inspired by my mods and have already done her full exhaust, intake, throttle body, reprogrammed, and now shes looking at drag radials and all the rear suspension! But the jist of her point was the same as she has told me seance day one. Even then, she felt mine was just faster and pulled stronger.

 

What else have you driven HARD that has lots of horsepower?

Pretty arrogant to assume she has just never driven anything else with power. Lets see, the cars I know of start with the Dart Swinger special, a Corvette, something else old with a 400 in it, cant remember but she traded it for the Corvette, she had a Laser, a Olds with the turbo Quad 4, her 95 mustang she had, my 98 Mustang I had and I'm sure some other cars I don't know off the top of my head likely from before you were born. Also, in one of her posts she tried to clarify a little by talking about even before I started modding.

She was just gitty and psyched about starting her car and people like you really put her down for no good reason.

My point was it may seem faster than it is if they had never driven another car with that much power as HARD as their son allowed them to drive the 2010.

I also stand firm that nothing the OP stated suggests a factory freak.

That's why I asked my question. What other cars has she driven HARD that had a lot of horsepower. If she's driven other cars with 500+ HP, then she knows what 500+HP feels like.
