I see 2006 but is it auto or stick and 91 or 93 octane?

I may have something for you.
I am located about an hour south of San Francisco in Northern California. I will PM you my strategy code when I get back to my house.

I have 87,89, 91 octane levels here and it is a stick.

I hope you have a cold beer and a cute blond for me.....

Are you in San Jose?

I used to live in Sunnyvale.

These are the stories that scare me about messing with the computer. I really hope you get this worked out soon. Please keep us informed of any progress. I guess if I ever take my car to the dealer, I have to put a big sign on the dash saying "DO NOT REFLASH MY CAR"

+1
Whenever my GT went to the dealer during the warranty period, I not only taped a "DO NOT REFLASH" note above the OBD II port, but also sealed the port with duct tape. Never had a reflash problem.

Well it's not so scary and really not a hard concept to get done. In my situation you can see I obviously didn't have all the correct information probably made a few mistakes myself. I had asked the dealership to not reflash the computer and thought I had verified that afterward. Come to find out there's some strategy code I should have written down or kept, looks like they flashed my car anyways, and so on.

I will say that when I did have the CAI and tune on the car that it was night and day difference on how the car felt. It has been bothering me since I got my car back from Ford. I spent a nice chunk of change for the CAI and tune, so I figured I might as well use it. Low and behold I have ended up in this situation.

it is definitely a really big pain in the a**, but I hope other people read this and take the necessary steps if they have to go through something like this. Knowledge is power right?
