meguiares smooth surface claybar kit, then the Meguiars 2.0 next generation tech wax, followed by the Meguiars spray detailer. takes a while but you will be very impressed...My friend has a black SRT and i detail it for him. it looks fu**ing Choice. i have no pics, but take my word for it. its the cheapest way to get showroom shine, while reducing swirl marks.

i use this same technique on my car before winter, and after winter.

Yep, Zaino. I mostly use Z5 (makes darker colors pop). Put some Z2 (more reflective, almost chrome-like) on now and then.

Use their detailer spray after every wash and it looks like you just waxed it.

This is going to sound nuts but from my experience your car will look best without waxing. My 07 GT was black and I waxed it all the time but no matter what it never looked quite as perfect as it did on the showroom floor. My 09 GT will be a year old in November and it has never been waxed and it looks exactly as nice as the first day I picked it up from the dealer. I just keep it out of the rain and the sun and don’t get it dirty. That reduces the number of times it needs washing and it looks perfect. And I do drive it, I’ve already racked up 4k miles.

i get what your saying but the wax acts as a protectant

i see yours is silver so it doesnt show as much

my dads is black and i tell him to polish it, clay it then wax it!
the polish cuts away the fine layer swirls the clay pulls out all the dirt and imperfections in the paint then the wax seals it
it looks great after!!

and btw Meguiars all the way!

If I am claying, polishing, and waxing I would do them in that order.

You want to clay before the other steps in order to remove contaminants from the surface.

Then you want to polish to remove swirl marks.

Then you want to wax to add surface protection.

Wrong order there bro, the clay bar is gonna take the polish right off. The clay bar is basically used to make sure you have a 100% clean surface and you work from there.
