I placed an order Friday and got a DORA with a priority 15. I am not sure what that means, albeit the dealer said that the car should arrive sometime in Oct. The only change that I might make is to the transmission...I ordered a manual transmission but I may change it to an automatic. I am not sure why? LOL

but seriously...how much extra did the 18" wheel/tire combo cost you? If it were me I would order it with the cheapest wheels/tires possible and then use the saved money to buy much nicer aftermarket ones.

The 18" wheel and tire package was an extra $735. I thought about exactly what you said "order it with the cheapest wheels/tires possible and then use the saved money to buy much nicer aftermarket ones." My undestanding is that the factory does some special suspension tuning for production cars with 18" ordered wheels, but not for Stangs ordered with 17" wheel and tire packages. Also, I think that the stock 18" don't look too bad. As I understand, the 18" wheels are the "fan blade" design.

Moreover, I would expect that an after market wheel and tire package would cost between $1500-$2000. No?

well probably 1500 after your tires probably yes, tires are hella expensive these days. my rims were about 650$ then tires were 250$ each also

How did you get the 18's for $735? My dealer showed me the price as $895 (the fanblades). They also had 255 tires not 235's.

Thats interesting about the suspension upgrade with the factory 18's. Got any more info on that? Links? Anybody else heard about this?

The MSRP for the 18" wheels code 64E is $825 and invoice is $735. I purchased the car at approx. $50 below invoice. On the DORA it states that the tires are code T8G 235/50ZR18

Don't forget to check your orders folks on the wheels. We had it backwards.
64E is polished bullits
64W is fanblades - late avail.

I just checked again with my dealer and he said it's the other way around. No offense, but I am not sure who to believe.

I don't even care anymore, I'm taking the first ones available, I'm sure someone will want to trade later if I want to change
