2011 Engine speculation.
My take....
V6 250+ HP
4.6L 315HP
5.0l V8 BOSS 400 HP
5.4l SC V8 with aluminum block Same HP
There will not be direct injection in the 3.7L and it will not make 300HP.
The 4.6L will still be around and the 5.0L will be the special edition Boss.
I have said it in every other forum but from a business stand point it would be crazy to remove the 4.6L right now with so many 2010 GT's sitting on the lot, even the V6 are sitting around too.
Ford doesn't need to compete in HP with the Camaro as it has won most magazine reviews.

On another subject, it feels great to have the oldest topic in the 2011 forum.
i hadnt considered the idea of them keeping the 4.6, but i would be surprised...
i know that direct injection has been rumored for the duratec 37, but new technology costs more, and when they have the 3.7 that already makes substantially more power than the current 4.0, they really dont NEED to beef it up just yet.

Agreed, why would ford put 300 horse power in a v6, when just the last year their gt v-8 only put out 300 horse? Even the gt would still be faster (torque, lighter) it wouldn't market well.
3.7 v6- 275
4.6 gt- 315
5.0- 375-400 (special edition mustangs only)
5.4- Aluminum block
