Default Interior Leather Quality

I have a feeling that my dealer is trying to pull a fast one over on me and I plan on getting a second opinion from another dealership but I wanted some feedback from you guys too on this one.

My 2010 GT Premium has some small bubbles on the passenger side seat that have been there since the first time I saw it on the showroom floor. It's pretty minor and other than this the car was perfect and exactly what I wanted so it wasn't enough of a determent to keep me from buying the car. I talked to their service dept about these bubbles and was told that their "leather guy" who is "really good" says that these are normal in new car seats. What perturbs me about this is that the bubbles are all on one piece of leather, and I have never seen this on any new car before. I was unable to find it in any other Mustang on the lot but they dealership is refusing to do anything about it.

I don't have any pictures of this but I can take one when I get home. Any feedback is appreciated.

Had a similar issue with my 2004 Expi. My wife took it to the dealer, they took one look and said "yep, this is not right". They changed it out under warranty within one week.

Find another dealer.

Good to know. I'll take it to another dealer ASAP.

It's on the piece you sit on. I'll try to remember to snap a pic today if the weather cooperates. The dealer tried to tell me that the leather just needs to wear in and that the bubbles will go away. I did get a signed statement from the service manager that if they tear at any time they will fix/replace the leather but I'm just not happy with it looking this way. Ford sent me a QA survey ... needless to say I brought this up on said survey but I doubt I will hear from anyone.

Just a little tidbit about those surveys... The most important ones to ford are questions 1 & 7. If the customer answers 1 and 7 completely satisfied, ford sends the salesman a spin check for an extra 50 bucks.

Bubbles on leather are not normal think as you already know. My red leather is free of bubbles and so far no problem with it. Actually I am pretty satisfied with its quality.

What are they? (1 and 7). I remember getting a big, huge survey with a ton of questions.

The pictures didnt come out very well so I might try to take some better ones but this is what I'm looking at. This is all on the passenger seat.

Closest to passenger door:

Almost the whole seat ... you can see the ones from the original photo and some other imperfections (have to look hard tbh) on the other side of the seat):
