Default Shift Help

Ok the other day i was driving behind this cement truck and stuff started falling out so i shifted into 3rd and speed past him. When i shifted from 3rd to 4th, it was a hard down shift, my gears grind. Now this doesnt happen when i put it into 4th normally only when it is a hard down shift.
This doesnt happen when i do the same for any other gear.

Is this a problem? anyone else experience this?

i have a stock no after market done.

Thanks in advance!

3rd to 4th would be an upshift..... Your gears shouldnt grind no matter if it's a hard upshift or downshift. You could have prematurely disengaged the clutch

1 of 2 things are happening

1. You aren't fully using the clutch

2. the clutch isn't disengaging fully when you depress the pedal.

my money is on it being a driver thing. if the clutch itself were messed up, you would experience that grinding in all 5 gears.

I know I've ground my gears 1-2 times when I was trying to speed shift and my foot was faster than my hand.

see if you can get the problem to occur again

I thought of that so i pressed the clutch down all the way and then shifted into 4th hard and it started to grind. I also tested that in all the other gears as well. I though maybe i am just late but it wasnt it.
