Default dealer installed tune

My salesman tells me thay have a tech that just works on mustangs and when ever I'm ready they can put tune on the car that will give me about 50hp. Now I find this hard to believe since reading these threads and post. The cost for this tune is $1250.00. Does anyone else believe there is that much left on the table in a 2010 stang. If that is true I don't think its a bad deal, and all the work does not void factory warranty.

That is the biggest bs I have ever heard. What he is doing should be illegal! Run the other direction! What is this techs name and number, I would like to talk to him!

yea I think the salesman just bumped the hp numbers, I think after I talk to the tech I will have some more realistic numbers. The sales guy said this tech has been working on stangs for over 25yrs..Did a meet and greet with the guy when I bought my car but it was short as I had a long ride home.

Are you sure he didn't mean "15"? And even then I'd be suspicious. The '10 GT's stock tune is a tad more aggresive than that of the 05-09's which is where the '10's additional 15 CRANK HP comes from. I doubt they could even add another 15.

BTW, you probably can gain another 10 RWHP. Check out the Brenspeed and Bama CAI & tune combo's. I believe the CAI for the '10's is out. Roughly $650

Well, I can speak from experience considering I got the Power Upgrade Pack from Ford Racing installed on my 2010 GT. Follow the link for more info: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=11181

You can notice a difference though its not drastic. The exhaust sounds awesome and its more responsive.

Where at in VA is this dealer? I had my stang custome tuned in VA today for a hell of a lot cheaper!
