In the videos the guy doesnt have any cats thats what is giving him the sound. Not the headers, Shorty headers dont make a dramatic sound difference if you were even to notice it.
I agree. The shorties might increase sound a little bit, but I doubt most people would notice it

That's incorrect, Leo. BBK tuned-length shorties make a dramatic sound difference. They space the exhaust pulses in a way that gives the exhaust note the distinct thumps or choppiness that a V8 should have. Anyone who has used BBK shorties will attest to this.

I agree that no-cats is louder than stock H, but it is only slightly louder than high-flow cats.

Yep, and what sucks is that damn 3 valves mill will never sound awesome.
That's why people try all kind of different set-ups by will never get that old school rumble.
Get a pushrod or a quad cam, throw in a set of Flows and you're done.

Hi Leo.

Yeah, Pascal, sadly, you're right. (the sad part being what you said, not that it was you being right ;-) ) The 3v is doomed to be powerful yet have a raspy voice.

Leo, I agree that some shorties do not change the sound much. The BBK's are not equal length, but there is something about their design that does produce a lugging sound like a cam. It is a very distinct difference in sound from the stock manifolds.

I'd rather have the Street Race axle back...

That first listing looks incorrect....that's the price of the SS street mufflers, not the cheaper BX version of the street mufflers.

The second listing is the Race axleback....it comes in BX version and SS version. BX is not the type of muffler. It is the aluminized steel version of any muffler.

Sadly, he's not wrong. The BX axle-backs are not cheap:

Really doesn't make sense to go the route I did.
