Your right i wont win every race but in the end im having a blast, and thats what moding is about.

PS: And I do plan to go with an intercooled turbo, so its all worth it.
Im not talking bout you i have no prob with 6rs at all and that would be sweet if your's was turbo'd...but this ram air **** is pointless and a waste of time you would gain more by gutting for example spare tire and all the other **** in there!

Yeah, that's why I don't know about a 380... hmmm...

But RAMAIR is worth on a ShakerCharger... hehe 1 extra psi is worth it when boosted. Check back on my in January when I get home to install all the boxes I have waiting for me... Looking for 501RWHP so that I can say I have over 500hp... hehe

I like the ram air you posted and its good for the track but if its a car you want to be able to drive around town then its no good. What if his ram air idea does drop the temp 15deg ? Would that not help and do some good? Granted its work but IMO cold air is good.

ill post dyno sheet in the morning..i dont know why ur all arguing.

bring cold air into and intake system is proven performance..going 60 70 80 there is a huge amount of air going into it, especialy in the front of the grill..i think its a cool mod, interesting to talk about and a performance increase and better than deleting the fogs all tog3ther

awww pascal, dont be hard on yourself, you have great ideas!

Rford, sweet ride, looks awsome. and i think sixxers have 190/215 RW stock, i think the standard rating they claim is 215/230...

and to the OP, im a V6 to, and so i do have room to talk here, the ram air idea, will have VERY LITTLE effect on a sixxer. look dude, i know, i understand, the burden of having a V6 is very limited in the performance department and can be very frustrating. but it is something you have to live with... i wanted a fast car i can build into a drag car, but my parents frowned upon that when they got it for me. instead of dumping hours and hundreds of dollars into performance mods that give me 1 HP here and there, just save up and trade in your V6 for a GT, and if you want to keep going bigger then buy a bigger engine. but if you think about it, say you buy a CAI, Underdrive Pulley, Gears, Driveshaft, Throttle Body, Headers, Tuner, Throttle Body Spacer, Chips, etc... guess what, you gained a total of 20 hp, when you were halfway to a SC that woulda boosted 120HP! and i know your proud of your nitrous, but seriously dude, thats a 4 second blast, you may rip out 380 tq, but for how long? 3 seconds?

OK, this is where the schit stops guys...

The V6 vs V8 wars are done getting old because in the end, it's just comparing little peckers.

There are guys on this Forum that have taken V6s in the 10s...
Doesn't matter if the OP is bull schitting or not, there is a V6 out there that will spank your beloved GT even if you're boosted.
How's that for shrinking you peckers even further?

Although I'm aware that bigger cube will always prevail, I have more respect for a 10 second sixxer than a 10 second V8 because it's harder to achieve.
And that's coming from a guy that can't care less about drag racing...

To the OP... I'm not knocking you from doing your custom "Ram air" but unless you have a direct feed like the late Trans-Ams or an old school Shaker on a carburetor, your HP gains are gonna be 0. That's minimal as it gets there...

See if you guys can keep this thread from a lock now.
