Your throttle response with the race tune should be super touchy. Is it not? My race and torque tunes actually feel pretty similar, except the race has a VERY touchy throttle which makes it more fun. It also makes the car a little louder somehow. Timing differences maybe?

Thats what I thought. I was expecting it to be very touchy......I haven't tried reloading it yet but I did look to see what the last tune was written and it shows the race tune. I probably did something wrong from the download to the tuner maybe.

Just checking, for those that have a predator.....when I went to add the file, it verifies to see if the original matches the file that I was adding and I just clicked the race tune file again. Is that right?

I believe that is right. You could plug the predator into the car and choose diagnostics and then last tune written. It should show the tune, if any that was written to you car.

That's weird. When I loaded just the 87 tune from Bama I couldn't stop overrevving due to the throttle response being so awesome. It was like driving a whole new vehicle.

Doug will help you out, no doubt; just have to be patient.

Doug told me to reload it and he also resent the tune. I just reloaded it and again, everything seems fine. Went for a spin and it may be different. I did a WOT from stop and it shifted at what looked like 6000 rpms. Is that stock or the tune? Maybe it is working I just dont notice it much.

Oh well, at least the car is running fine after the tune install. Could be worse right?

Some one already mentioned this, but get an intake. The CAI/Intake makes a big difference. I ran bama's 89 tq tune w/o an intake for a while and it was better than stock, but when I added the intake it made a difference.
