Default Anyone have experience with the Hurst Billet shifter?

I found this on RPMOutlet and they claim it is better than the Steeda shifter. Has anyone tried it or have any comments?

I am still waiting for it to go on sale. several peoplehave ordered it only to be notified that it was on "back order". I think that the Hurst shifter and the White 5-spd **** would look great!

Ah... I didn't realize it wasn't available yet. Do you think it will perform better than the Steeda Tri-Ax, though? It sounds like alot of people are happy with the Steeda.

I assume that the difference, if any, will be little to none. The Hurst is what I want. It reeks of the muscle cars, it looks retro with the white cue ball ****. ANd I think that it would look great with the red interior.

I put a Hurst shifter kit in my '88GT. Maybe they've improved their quality, but the unit then was a POS. ****-poor, el cheapo build quality. Cover plate use to come undone every time you went over a bump, plus the shift action was brittle.

Went to a Pro-5 set-up. No comparison.

No more Mr. Gasket stuff for me.

Just my 2 cents.
