Default 2005 Custom Sub Enclosure

I'm tired of waiting for MTX to sh*t or get off the pot on this one [:@] Anybody order this from Crutchfield and found it to be a reputable product??

Is the driver's side of the trunk any different from the passenger side? Why don't they make those enclosures for both sides? I was looking at that box earlier, but I didn't make a post about it because I don't even have the car yet!

It comes with the subwoofer too.

I think it's $140 w/o the subwoofer.

Yup, sure is. Link. As P-Wiz said, that is still pretty steep for particle board and carpet. It better be a pretty good fit for $140.

The box is plastic (they call it a molded-polymer).

$200 for a custom molded enclosure WITH 12" sub is pretty cheap - probably cheapest you'll find. The MTX version will most likely be $300 loaded and $450 loaded & amplified. But what they are WAITING on is beyond me [&:]

Yes the trunk side/corners are different - not by much but just enough. Probably has to do with the fuel filler neck - although that cheezy peice of garden hose they used this year shouldn't affect ANYTHING in regards to trunk shape [:@]

Did ya happen to see the new 5.0 magazine? They have a write up on this sub and installation.
