I once saw a shaker 1000 subwoofer on ebay, that was pulled out of a car for like 300 bucks

Don't want the Shaker - I want a 12" instead of 10's.

Hey Hawgman - the link on 5.0's website isn't working for that article [:@] Did you read it - was it a positive review for it?

They covered it over 10 pages that were smeared with advertisements. Take those out, it was probably a 3 or 4 page write up of the sub box install with pictures. They paired it up with an EFX HD3001 800w mono amp. They also installed Scosche line out converters because they hooked it up to a skipper500. They said nothing bad about it, and in fact complimented the fact that it mounts to the factory skipper1000 mounts in the trunk. One thing I did notice was they rated the sub at 600 watts. That is double what crutchfields rates it at.

But yes, nothing but nice things to say about it. Hope it wasn't bias and just an infommercial.

I actually have it!!

I have an eclipse 12 in in it and I love it.

It is actually molded heavy plastic. Unit is HEAVY and fits very tightly in the corner.

No complaints. I am VERY happy with it.

Thanks guys - I guess if MTX doesn't get their head out of their a$$ and offer a damn box soon, I'll probably break down and buy one. Just frustrating because I can get the MTX Thunderform products for mfr. cost [8D]

Honestly I am considering it also. I was going to pull the factory 10's out of the enclosure they are in and put a set of JL Audios in, but I might just replace it with a single 12. This actually looks like a good alternative.
