Front end noise is gone!
Installed Koni SRT.T struts and shocks along with the updated strut bearings that the TSB mentions. What a world of difference! Feels like it should have when it was new. No "chuckle" or "loose lumber" from the front anymore. Corners flatter but ride is smoother. Still firm but not jarring, makes bumpy roads less intimadating. I did notice the Koni rear shocks compress easier than the stock ones, probably why it rides better. My old bearings on the passenger side seemed fine but the drivers side was missing half the ball bearings. This is on a car with less than 32k miles on it. Passenger side strut was shot as it was leaking.
Also noticed that the rear inner fender liner on the passenger side was loose and that got me to thinking that could be what the "loose lumber" and noise feeling was coming from. Pulled it off and used 1" wide 3M sticky foam on each side of the holes the plastic pins go in then reattached. If you have the front end noise that would be the first thing I'd suggest checking as it's a cheap and easy fix. Don't know it that fixed mine or if its the new strut bearings, just so glad it's gone!
All in all, I'm really pleased with the upgrade. LTB Motorsports was great to deal with as well as Yocum Ford who I ordered the strut bearings from. They had them for $38 each with $9 shipping where my local dealer wanted $69 each for the same part. Had them here in 3 days.
