O2 extenders or MIL eliminators?? MIL eliminators are illegal now and not sure you can find them for S197s unless you make some yourself. You will need O2 extenders for longtube headers as they relocate the front O2's further away down to the mid-pipe. You can enable the REAR O2's with a catted midpipe (mayyybeee) depends on your tune. You may get a CEL light, maybe not. If the stars align and your tune is right .

The best you may do is Brenspeeds O2 raiser/non fouler which simulate mil elims. I didn't try mil elims but the O2 raisers got my rear O2's ready (just long enough) to pass emissions.

I'm pretty sure the MIL elims will just eliminate the check engine light. If you're in an "emissions county" your rear O2's must be in a "ready" state for testing, meaning functioning w/o throwing a code. If you're not in an emissions county then yes, that setup will work fine. For that matter, just get a tune that disables the rear O2's and carry on...

The second link you provided is just the O2 harness extenders for longtubes, not mil elims.

LTs may be expensive buy shorties are far cheaper. I picked up a set of BBK shorties for $80 brand new, grant that was a good deal im sure you can find some cheap. I plan on installing them myself so that saves me some cash also. But it i were to skip headers i would spend it on a CAI/Tune which will run close to 600
Boomtubes-330 ish
LCAs-150 ish
those should all be easy to install yourself too.
The maybe spend the remaining ~500 on gears

Or save for FI of course
