Default Tighter seats?

I noticed that my regular "sport bucket seats" or something along those lines have really poor hold through corners. I'm always sliding here and there on the tight ones. I want some stronger side bolsters like the ones in the GT500 so I can stay in a bit more snug. I don't want to go with "euro ultralite" or roush seats or anything, I'd like to keep my red leather and maintain the class of the vehicle. Anyone know where I can find that kind of seat?

the red leather makes it kinda hard.

I'd recommend a set of GT500 seats...or possibly some Bullitt seats. They have more side bolstering than a GT does

and then a set of red Katzin leather covers. Mellowyellow just installed a set of them in his car and they look really nice

You may want to check Roush, if you don't mind Jack's signature embroidered in your seat. We just got them for our 06 screaming yellow convertible and they are a huge improvement over the stock leather seats. The kit actually includes all new padding that's much thicker and firmer than the stock seats and with larger bolsters. The leather is also of much higher quality. And they come in red and some of the kits are ridiculously discounted. I recommend calling them rather than just browsing their web site since the info there isn't 100% accurate. The web site says the kits won't work if you have side airbags in the seats, but our seats do and we had the Roush seats installed by Roush at their factory in Livonia, MI. They said the airbags were not a problem. I've got some pictures at http://www.mocsem.org/member/member_...php?memberid=1.

Hi Silas,

Are you primarily interested in greater support for everyday "spirited" driving, or are you mainly concerned with tracking your car?

I ask because in my case I was fine for a long time with the car on the street, I only wanted more support for open track days. I found the CG-Lock to be awesome! If you're not going/willing to swap out to a different seat or go with a bar and harness, the CG-Lock is a pretty sweet deal: easy to use, easy on the pocketbook, and very effective. See www.cg-lock.com

Best,
-j

I want to find some seats that have squishier foam. I find the stock to be TOO stiff. Plus the stiff "leather" doesn't help. I find the stiffness of stock to be very uncomfortable. If I could get the same kind of squishy foam that was in my old 95 stang that would be great. That car's seats would give you a nice big and soft bear hug.

I wonder if the 2010 GT500 seats would work? I love how they look.

the roush seats are comfy and offer more support with the extra padding on the side bolsters.. also had mine installed at Roush. I have ones similar to the ones out of the Blackjack but say Jack Roush instead of Blackjack
