Default what gears?

Sorry guys have not been on in a while. I did my home work some time ago and cant remember what was best for my car.
I have on 06 GT M/T with 3:55 gears and i cant get out of my own way with them. I want a quick stat off the line and fuel economy. I know, cant have my cake and eat it to I am looking at 3:90's or 4:10's. The car is my my DD but i also enjoy getting on it every now and agen. Current mods, K&n CIA, brenspeed tunes. would love to put her on the track with new gears.

Your thoughts?

TIA

Motive makes the 3.90's so they wont be as good as any FRPP brand gear. having the 3.55's you wont notice a huge difference with a 3.73, so +1 to the 4.10's

i have the 3.31's so i know how you feel.

Default FRPP 4.10s

+1 on the FRPP 4.10s

Gas mileage is lower, but my wife drives in 3rd gear at 80mph and doesn't hear a thing!

Ive seemed to nitice most people with 4.10s are happy with them but alot of companies that have written articles say 3.73s work better for racing as you dont run out of gear so quick. Ive got 3.31s too and want to step up soon.

How much of a difference is there from 3.31 to 3.73? And then from 3.73 to 4.10? Will i still notice nice gains if i go to 3.73?

3.73 perfect for auto, for a m/t going from 55 to 410 is like going from 31 to 73. i have 3.73 on the auto, A LOT OF FUN, and 4.10 on the '90, even more fun. they are both awesome, just depends on which trans you have, 4.10 on an auto would be great too, just pick your future though, get the 3.73 if you are going f/i, if not go with the 4.10, unless you do a lot of highway driving. just make sure to give ample break in time and to change the oil after the break in time

For manual, 4.10 at least. That would be equivalent to 3.73 in auto.
