What is it called???
ok remeber those gadgets you can buy to tell your your 1/4 in your car? looks like a radar detector. Well i have a couple questions.
1 I hear they are garbage, are they?
2 Do they at least get you close to wear you might be just as a clue to how fast i might be?
3 What the hell is it called i thought it was g tech or g force or w/e?
i would never claim a 1/4 it gave me as how fast my car is i was just hoping it was good enough to tell me and only me about where i would be.

Dynolicious can also be found on the T-Mobile MyTouch, one of the apps you can download, for free! Dunno how accurate it is. But I got my girlfriend to download it, so will be playing with it sometime this week
I have the Gtech. I've used it against the tree at the track and it is a little generous, but never more than a few hundreths of a second. If you just want to use it to get an idea of where you're at, it's pretty good, but the track is the only place to be 100% accurate.
I use a GTech quite a bit... useful for getting an idea on improvements. If the Gtech says your pulling a 13.0 before a mod, and a 12.8 after, you can bet that at the actual track your gonna find yourself 2/10ths faster. The times are a bit off however. The track measures your start when the tires move from the lightbeam. The Gtech starts your time when it detects acceleration, which could be nothing more than a lurch that wouldn't start the timer at the track. mph on the Gtech is usually spot on tho. I find my Gtech agrees with the datalogger I use far more often than my timeslips do... again, likely due to the way its calculated... At the track, it's mathematically figured out by taking your time over the last bit of track (usually 10 feet) and then figuring it from the time it takes to travel it... the Gtech actually guages your mph.
I wouldn't call it a waste of cash, but it's no replacement for a real timeslip either.

thanks guys i was just toying with the idea of getting one... if its only off a few hundredths of a second then thats not bad. never heard of a aerforce though. Yeah nothing is a replacment for the track i just was hoping it would help me with my launches maybe 60 foot times. and of course a gauge for the 1/4.
The phone app is definately on my list of top thing to get now i didnt think they even had anything like that,.... would have been nice since it rained all day and closed the track... now just need to find some straight road and i think i got the place
