Stingers (borla, FRPP), Bassani Race and Magnpacks sound pretty close to each other. Stingers I think sound slightly deeper but a little more muffled than magnapacks. I wouldn't trade my magnapacks for stingers or bassani and If I had stingers I wouldn't trade for magnpacks or bassani.

Here is a link to a local shop in my area:
http://www.lastcallracing.com/magnaf...ch-tips-f.html Also look on EBAY. I was luck and got a brand new magnapack cat back system, which included the axlebacks and over the axle pipes for $310.

My whole family said they are quite a bit louder than the FordRacing exhaust.

There is some drone at around 1800 to 2000 but only noticed when on the freeway and trying to accelerate up a grade without downshifting first. The sound and feeling of the drone is definitely annoying, but it only happens under the above circumstance for me so far. The FordRacing and the stock muffler had zero drone (in comparison to these).

The other day a very tricked out Saleen Mustang (probably around 2003 vintage) pulled up next to me in the gas station and that was the loudest Mustang I have ever heard. Harley-Davidson loud. He must have a complete exhaust (probably off-road stuff). Can't imagine it would be street legal in California. I would definitely be embarrassed to drive that car. But he probably loves it. To each his own.
Good points. I had pypes violator series with a O/R x pipe and it was too obnoxious, especially in the parking garage at work. I have since put flowmaster 40 series, but it's still too raspy (which I now realize is b/c of the x pipe). I think loud exhaust is fine, as long as it sounds deep and has a good rumble too. If it's just loud just to be loud, people are probably going to be annoyed by your car.

I just placed my order for the Mustang Direct Fit Catalytic Converter Part 16455 Tru-X Pipe w/Metallic Converters and the Stainless Cat-Back System Performace Exhaust Part 16570. They told me they have yet to start any production on this new 16455 so I will be the first to have it on my car. I am hoping it will be done by this time next week and I will video it with sound and upload it onto YouTube to share in case anyone else is thinking about doing this mod.

They will have it for me at will-call and there is a tuner about a mile from there called Dyno Tech Motorsports in Oceanside www.dynotechonline.com and I am going to have them pick it up and have it installed at their place. I would like to have it done at RET but I do not know how to get it there from the will call?

UPDATE: I just called RET and he is going to pick it up for me and install these items and the JLT Carbon Fiber Intake at the same time they do the custom tune.

I ordered them directly from Magnaflow. I am looking forward to see what RET can do to help me get some horses back. I am doing brakes and suspension next.

Magnflow prices are usually more expensive than most. I would have waited, I am sure other shops could get them much cheaper.

I got a very good deal on both of these items. Now if only I knew where to buy the JLT intake and the SCT X-3 for a great price. I need to buy one tonight and have it shipped to RET.
